The 7 Best Co-Working Spots In New York City

Keen to start co-working in New York City? From independent entrepreneurs and small start-ups to freelancers and side hustlers, co-working spaces have slowly but surely taken over New York City, giving home to all of the above.

And with apps like Croissant and KettleSpace, booking a space to work for the day is now easier (and significantly cheaper) than making a hair appointment – available immediately with the click of a button.

Wave goodbye to the days of trying to concentrate at home, sipping lattes as slowly as possible at your local coffee shop or fighting over wifi and outlets with strangers.

New York City boasts close to 100 co-working spaces – whether you’re looking for a desk for the day or a longer term rental. Keep reading to discover the very best:

Best co-working spots in NYCHow do these rankings work?

1. Bond 55 Broadway

Kombucha and beer on tap. Enough said.

Part of the sophisticated Bond Collective, Bond 55 Broadway is located in the heart of the Financial District and feels like an unpretentious, cozy boutique hotel.

It’s dog-friendly, offers free kombucha, beer, coffee, tea and fruit, and great bathroom products (it’s the little things!). Coworking starts at $350/month, private offices from $900/month or a day rate is just $40.

Life hack: use the Croissant app like we did. An hour spent sipping kombucha on their plush green velvet booth set us back less than $4.

Yup. We’re moving in.

2. 3den, Hudson Yards

Described as a pay-as-you-go urban space, or “an airport lounge without the baggage”, the new 3DEN at Hudson Yards is quickly becoming one of our guiltiest work-related pleasures.

Your first half hour is free using the app, and is charged at $6/30mins thereafter.

Worth it? For Casper nap pods, free-flowing coffee and flavoured sparkling waters, showers and bougie bathroom products, plants galore and unobstructed views of The Vessel? We think so.

Snacks, healthy lunch options and fresh juices, as well as trending tech and lifestyle products, are all available to purchase via the app. Or you can just pause your session and pop out to the dozens of brand new restaurants in Hudson Yards.

6. Spring Place

Aimed at those in creative industries, this private TriBeCa workspace feels more like a selective social club.

Members who make the cut (post-application process) can enjoy elite amenities. Think: music room, sprawling rooftop sun deck, multiple lounges, board and meeting rooms, a sunken living room (pictured), bars, restaurants, a private dining space, plus exclusive events and discounts.

Many a celebrity have graced the halls of Spring Place. Not to mention, the space has previously hosted the official viewing party of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with all angels in attendance. Positively heavenly.

Spring Place’s membership pricing varies, but is definitely on the pricier side. Starting at $500/month (for under 30s).

A journalist from Ireland, you'll find Alana hunting down the best soup dumplings in NYC or refusing to drink Aperol Spritz from anything smaller than a pint glass. Probably both.
