Casa Republica is a 1920s boutique hotel modelled in the style of the glory days of Peru’s Republican era. Just look at the mansion!

5. Mercado de Brujas
Want an unusual Lima Instagram photo? Otherwise known as ‘the Witches Market’, this is a quirky market selling traditional folk medicine.
You can buy python snake skins, black candles for curses and frog smoothies. You’ll find it in the Gamarra Market and just outside the Gamarra train station.

This scenic square in the historic centre contains some of the most recognised attractions in Lima.
