Australia has a vibrant Filipino community, with plenty of places to feast on specialties such as adobe or kare-kare. With world-class eateries in Sydney and Melbourne, you’re also spoiled for choice with great Filipino restaurants in Perth.
Here’s where you’ll get a taste of the Philippines…
Best Filipino Restaurants In PerthHow do these rankings work?
1. Chef Knowell’s Kitchen
The home cooked food here will transport you to the Philippines with just one bite. It’s proper Filipino fare – nothing fancy, just fresh food full of flavour. Try their signature sisig of sautéed pork with liver in a blend of spicy and peppery taste served in a sizzling plate with lemon. Local fans say it reminds them of restaurants in Manila, and we agree.
2. Ready Eddie’s Cafe
Ready Eddie’s Cafe is family owned and operated, and you can tell it’s the real deal with the many family recipes on the menu.
Picking just one dish here is impossible, so we suggest you come with friends and order as many as you can fit on the table. Highlights include the succulent bulalo, a stew of slow cooked beef bone marrow coupled with potatoes, cabbage and corn on the cob that will satisfy your cravings.
3. Mr YummmO
If you’re missing those Pinoy flavours, Mr YummmO will come through with a huge spread of all your favourite dishes. They have an eat-in restaurant and a catering service that’s perfect for family gatherings. With dishes such as crispy pata, tapsilog and fried tilapia, it’s too good to pass up. If that doesn’t convince you, the image below of their crispy lechon surely will!
4. Pinoy Fiesta Filipino Restaurant
Dig into all the classics at Pinoy Fiesta, from kiliwan ceviche to pancit noodles.
Plus, they have an all-you-can-eat buffet at the weekend and you can even request an an authentic boodle fight in advance (a Filipino tradition where food is placed out on bamboo or banana leaves and everyone digs in with their hands).
5. Casa Manila
You’ll get the smell of flavoursome home-cooked meals wafting out the door before you even step foot inside at Casa Manila. Add in the fact that it doubles up as a karaoke bar and you’ll soon see why this is one of the top Filipino restaurants in Perth. They also host regular events too, so it’s a real powerhouse of community and delicious cuisine.
6. Sandok Kawali
Sandok Kawali serves up some of (if not the best) dessert in Perth. Choose from halo-halo, a popular Filipino cold dessert of crushed ice, evaporated milk, beans, tapioca pearls and various toppings such as jelly or fruit, and there’s also tasty taro flans. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves… You’ll want to start your meal here with some lechon, barbecued meats or fresh lumpia.
7. Parilla Barbecue and Grill
Smokey, grilled meats and BYOB? It’s no wonder Parilla Barbecue and Grill is such a local favourite for simple food done perfectly. This hidden gem is tucked slightly out of the way, but it’s well worth seeking out. You’ll find droolworthy Filipino fare such as meaty pork knuckles, fresh fish and barbecued meats. You’ll soon become a regular customer here.
Thank you for acknowledging us as number one!
– Chef Knowell’s Kitchen
You’re welcome! 🙂
As a filipino a prefer Parilla as number one, but yeah Chef Knowell’s and Ready Eddie’s offered good food. And I think Barako Cafe in Midland should be in Top 7 instead of Mr YummyO
It’s hard to find good authentic Filipino food in Perth. Parilla is best that I’ve tried. Their Sisig and Crispy Pata is spot on.
